The reel for The Last Quest the company I do most of my work through.

An awesome bi-weekly video series called Mohai Minute (www.seattlehistory.org) that I help produce, edit and shoot along with the other members of my company, The Last Quest.

So back in the spring of 2009 The Last Quest decided to work with The Common Language Project on the International Documentary Film Challenge. After screening at the official Doc Challenge screenings the film was submitted to many film festivals.
Here is a list of some of the festivals it was selected to play:
The Seattle International Film Festival
DC Shorts
Milwaukee Film Festival
Tacoma Film Festival
BendFilm Festival
Local Sightings
Here is the “logline” for the film:
“As newspapers across the country struggle to stay viable both culturally and fiscally, Seattle’s own Post Intelligencer is slated for closure. ‘It’s in the P-I’ tries to capture the confusion and disappointment of the people who worked the last few days of this 142 year old Seattle institution.”

Here is one of the first big artistic things I ever made.
I made it as my thesis work for a year long program called Mediaworks at The Evergreen State College.
It is called My Primary Colors and it is an experimental 3 projector performance piece that utilized silkscreen and spray-paint direct animation mixed with live action footage. The sound for the piece is the sound of each projector’s optical reader reading the direct animation on the film. All the pops and clicks are scratched into the optical track using a razor blade.
The subject of the work is about my parents who divorced after 15 years of marriage.
It won the Cine-X Showcase at the Olympia Film Festival in 2007 and was a runner up at the PDX film festival’s Invitational.
